I’m trying to do a system recovery on my pc, but every time I press f10 when my pc starts it doesn’t works. So is there another to doing a system recovery?
start. all programs. accessories. system tools( might not be there if not skip to next step) then system recovery.

There are a number of programs advertised on the Internet to do this specific thing. I would check with either/both Tucows.com and Download.com and see what they and various users recommend. You can then probably download a trial version to undelete your files, or worst case, pay a small shareware fee to make a good progam work.
Just bought a laptop (ASUS F80Q) with pre-installed Vista Home Basic OS. Included in the package is the ASUS RECOVERY DISK VISTA HOME BASIC. Just curios why Recovery disk is given and not the original VISTA HOME BASIC Disk?
The recovery disc is specific to your machine and will only book on that type of machine! It also includes drivers and extras designed for you to get the most out of your computer and contains some software made by your computer’s manufacturer. The regular disc does not have this and requires you to install any necessary software yourself!

we have only one real time server which we are using for backing up our oracle database on the same server we also have entire oracle set up the system is highly updated with 2gb ram and 160 dual hdd with single processors without any virus. we do not have any specific back up server. so what type of good back up practice we follow which will able to give full recovery.awating for your reply.

It’s highly confidential and the computer had no add-on such File Shredder and all. Just your usual Computer; Windows XP, PDF Reader, Winamp, you know. I used Shift + Delete, and i am a perfectionist guy. I need to know if this is safe.
If you know what the file was called do a search for it and see if anything pops up. If your really anal and need to make sure it’s gone format the hard drive several times using a windows boot disk.
A few years ago my maxtor daimond plus 9 250gb hard drive was left inside my computer running and this girl i know was using it while i was
away. She said there was some smoke coming from it and then the
computer just shut off.
I was mad, I took out the hard drive and seems on the board a part
was burnt. After that I could not use it at all and nothing will detect
the hard drive.
Besides going through a hard drive recovery service that can get
the data, what else could i do?
I have almost a same model hard drive. The maxtor diamond plus 10 250gb hd. I was wondering if theres any way to switch whatever I
need like the disk inside in order to try to recover the data.
Would I be able to? And how would I there are weird screws on
all the hard drives I wouldnt know what tool to use.

it’s very tricky and not sure if it will definitly work but you can swap the circuits boards over, i think it has to be the exact model though.
I’m planning on selling a laptop and since I don’t have the recovery CD I want to wipe the harddrive, but keep the OS intact. are there any methods for this?
the OS is windows vista home basic
there are two ways to accomplish this:
1 – if the computer has a recovery partition, then use the recovery utility to put it back to when you first got it.
2 – if it doesn’t have a utility, then make a new user in Contol Panel > User Accounts, and make it an administrator account. Delete all other accounts, as well as their files.

Frankly, horrible. You have around 13 different codes in there, leading to very few chips chosen a round. I’d say to have them all S code/* code. Also, you could have 2 different codes, which is still pretty effective. So you might want to look up the renowned folder faqs on gamefaqs.
