Restore My Files : Information & Data Recovery

I’m told you have to make your own recovery disk for windows 7, but with that disk can you restore the computer to "factory state".(How it was when it was new, meaning delete everything)

A recovery partition should be on the hard drive for use without disks. However it might be wise to create disks if for some reason you can’t access the recovery partition.
Type Recovery Disk Creation into your start menu search box.
The link describes what it does. It will erase everything and re install the operating system.

Windows XP in the HDD won’t boot. Inserting system disk -no effect. Display says " disk failure".
Anybody, please help. I forgot to backup. I have no recovery media either.

remove the HDD and connect it to another computer via a USB adapter.

hmm… I have tried to format my hard disk drive, but unable to format coz damage hard disk…

I still want to ask the same question, is it possible to to recovery data in crash hard disk? if possible, so how? Do you know any program to recovery data in crash hard disk? if you know please tell me……….

I am looking for a data recovery software for memory cards? Does anyone know any free software? I have searched softpedia, majorgeeks, zdnet and cnet. All of them are serving only demo version. And demo version can’t save the files.

My God, you also suffered data lose. I suffered data lose the day before yesterday.
If these files are really important for you , I suggest you try professional recovery software even though it charges for money. I think your valuable files are more important than just few dollars.

I got a big virus on my computer and I couldn’t do anything about it so I turned it off and when I turned it back on everything went fine until this blue screen popped up. it said to restart computer but it kept popping up. i couldn’t make recovery disks because control panel didn’t have the sony recovery disk icon so i couldn’t make recovery disks. is there anyway i can download them?

Download an .iso and burn it onto a DVD/CD, or mount it on daemon (Virtual CD/DVD).

HDD died on me so have got a replacement coming tomorrow. I have a toshiba recovery disk which worked fine on previous hard drive. Just wondering if this will work on the new one or if I’ll need to shell out for new OS?

I have a recovery disk for a Optima XP computer but want to reformat another computer. Am I right to just use this disk?
On the CD it says "The software included on this recovery DVD was pre-installed on your HDD at the factory"

no do not, if u use a recovery cd for one computerand the other computer is a different brand it would not take it and then if it does about half -way through the recovery all ur files will be deleted and an error will come up syaing something so dont use it on anohter computer

I need two specific files from my flash drive, but they are missing now. In fact, the entire folder has disappeared. My file recovery application will not run on this drive all of a sudden, but it works great on other drives. There is not signature of file-shredding either. The files were created last week, and I need them with in 18 hours from now.

compaq persario. recovery software from the cd, not from the hidden recovery partition. also, i have office 2007 (genuine), how will it know i’m installing it on the same computer and not another computer? i only have 3 liecenses and i have 3 computers.

The recovery CDs should work, however the Office 2007 software may require that you call their activation center once it tries to activate over the internet. Assuming nobody else is actually heavily using the key, they do understand the need to reinstall occasionally.
