I lost a lot of cherished family videos from my hard drive. Can I send it to microsoft for them to recover it (or some other official company, no guys who no one’s ever heard of or something, like a big name company). The hard drive was manufactured by western digital.

How to recover data after a virus?
My labtop was infected by a trojan virus i was not able to restore from an earlier setting. I did get rid of the virus and reinstalled windows vista but now i want to recover my word documents and pictures and other programs but i do not know how. How can i recover all my data?

My hard drive crashed in my HP and i have another one that is blank. If i stick the blank hard drive into my computer and press F10 to do the system recovery will it put the windows files and things on the hard drive? Will it interfere with the other hard drive if it Magically starts working and i use it again?

The OS comes with HP recovery CD/DVD is an OEM edition of that OS. Of course you can install it on another hard disk but it will ask for a valid serial number; since the SID(security identifier) changes with the change of disk. If you can get a fresh serial number, you’re in.

A few months ago I tried to install OS X on my Toshiba Sattelite.I got it fixed, but the guy said what I installed removed Vista.My question is, is the HDD recovery still there, and can I use it to get my laptop back to normal?

To install OS X on a hard drive that had Windows first means you would had have to reformat your entire hard drive (or whatever partition you are using). Everything you had on it before the formatting is gone. You will have to reinstall Vista from the DVD.

My external hard drive died out of nowhere. I plugged it as usual and it didn’t detect. So I disassembled the external and installed that hard drive into the desktop. When I boot up into windows it detects the hard drive but it shows as an unallocated drive.

i dont no what happened but i turn on my laptop and i cant get past system recovery none of the options will work and the only one left is to totally reboot my hardrive, i was wondering if there is a way to backup my harddrive onto my external because i got alot of shit on my harddrive and i dont wont any of it to be wiped. i can open up command prompt through system recoveery if that helps PLLEAAASSEEE HELLPPP
