If you formatted your disk you will need to see a Data recovery Specialist.

I have a Toshiba a135 S4527 and I need a recovery disk for it. If you could tell me who I call or what website I order it from it would be really nice. Thank you.
If you are running windows vista there is an option to create a recovery disc. Thats what mine has. Otherwise if you have to order a recovery disc it will run you around 200. dollars
I currently have a Compaq Presario 2000 laptop, and whilst reformatting my C: drive, I accidentally also deleted the D: (Compaq_Presario) Recovery Hard Drive, and now no longer appears after successfully having fully reformatted my C: drive.
What can I do to retrieve the D: (Compaq_Presario) Recovery Hard Drive on my laptop?
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated! Thanx!
A programme like Acronis recovery Expert (part of their Disk Director Suite) can help you recover even "fully reformatted" hard drives. I’m sure there are Freeware solutions too. Try http://www.pcinspector.de/Sites/file_recovery/download.htm?language=1# for example.
The less you did after formatting the drive, the better are your chance of a full recovery.
I restored my operating system using my Gateway Operating system Disc using the save data option. I have my Back up file but cannot restore my documents in the Owner files. I cansee the files, they show the size of disc space but I get "Access Denied Message when I try to open the documents.

So my sister decided to restore the computer and that meant that everything got deleted. But she saved most of the pictures in a CD that I believe were saved in the recovery Hard Disk. But I can’t view them or anything, And I wanted to know if you could I guess ‘extract’ the files (in my case the photos) back to the computer.
yeah u can get the pictures and stuff back on the computer but u have ot use the cd that she saved them to and if they cd brakes u r out of luck
What is the best data recovery software for my Linux Platform. I am specifically using the CentOS 5 for my Zimbra Mail Server. Any suggestions will very much appreciated.
You will have to be a lot more specific about what the problem is. recovery from which linux filesystem or windows filesystem. Has the hard drive crashed, or is it a problem with a deleted file, or a wiped drive?
If you google for data recovery +linux you will see a lot of possible solutions for a lot of possible situations.
Good luck
Recently, I’ve lost my Nokia mobile(model: nokia 6303 classic). Fortunately or unfortunately, I’ve made a backup of all contacts, and some other data. It has created a backup file with an extension .nbu. Is there any option to recover my contacts, other than connecting a Mobile?
Why not use the nokia PC suite to do that? please refer to the 6303 manual below.
Also, there is some body write some utility to explore the nbu file, refer to the thread:http://discussions.europe.nokia.com/discussions/board/message?board.id=pcsuite&message.id=13911
My laptop is running slow and I want to restore it to factory setting. Do I need to delete files before I run my recovery and applications and drivers disk and if I do, what files do I need to delete? Should I run a backup file every week and do I need a disk to burn them on or just run backup?
You don’t need to delete anything. Backing up is the critical part. You can use a back program, or just drag and drop files onto a USB stick, external drive, DVD-R, or other media.
In addition to personal data, you need to have your applications that didn’t come with the computer (e.g., MS Office) on disc (or other media) & ready to reinstall after the recovery.
And could you please send me a link
I’ve always had excellent results with runtime software. Its paid for itself many times over!

My Vista install cannot boot. I’m attempting to recover data from a RAID 0 array. I can boot other OS’s off of USB keys, and I have done so easily. I need an OS, presumably a Linux environment with a GUI, that can read the array. It is an Nvidia "fakeraid", that was made in the BIOS of my 750i chipset motherboard.
So, if anyone has such a distro that can recognize RAID0 arrays that has a GUI, I’d greatly appreciate the help!!!
Take a look at running Knoppix from a LiveCD which should allow you to access your data
