During the week of my surgery I have my husband to take care of me. The monday after I have my surgery my husband has to go back to work and I have an 20 month old that I have to take care of alone. I have no one that will help me, no friends or family. Do you think that it is possible for me to do take care of him? Does anyone know how the recovery goes? My dr seems to think I’ll be fine but I am still nervous.

You will be fine unless your a wimp. My girlfriend had implants on a Monday and came back to work 2 weeks late on a Wednesday. She said it was the most painful surgery she has ever had.

I purchased my Compaq laptop a few months ago. I haven’t saved hardly anything to it. So why is the recovery drive almost full and what happens if it becomes full.

Because the recovery drive d: is normally a Virtual drive and not a physical drive d: and nothing should ever be placed in that drive if you expect the computer to be able to do a Factory Default Recovery, back to the way the computer came from the manufacturer. You should check your menus for a program to make a set of Recovery CDs and make them before you run into problems and have no way to recover from it. Everyone should do that with a newer computer, especially if you did not get any CDs with the computer.

It would depend how you upgraded to Windows 7. If you did a full wipe, there is no recovery unless you want to spend $$$. You can try going into Manage drive devices and see if the partition is still there. If so, all you need to do is enable it.

I have a HP pavillion dv6000 laptop. I did a system recovery and everything seemed to have worked okay. I hibernated my laptop and when I turned it on a system error appeared and said that I must insert the recovery cd.

It said that I can request a recovery cd from HP, but the problem is my cd drive is broken. Is it possible to somehow put the recovery disk on a usb drive and run it from there or something?

Thanks for any help.

Try this and see if this will help: http://articles.techrepublic.com.com/5100-22_11-5928902.html , you will need to acquire that recovery cd from HP and create an image of the cd from someone else’s computer using IMGBurn: http://www.imgburn.com/ , then youll need a virtual drive drive to mount the OS: http://www.slysoft.com/en/virtual-clonedrive.html , that will make the image act like the cd without really using the cd to create a USB boot OS to repair the original. Just follow the instructions of the first article I sent. The reason I give this long winded route is so that you can use the image more than once if necessary that and you have some extra tools to mess around with if you need to make a recovery USB drive rather than a full blown OS on the drive itself.

Hi,

As it says in the question, what is the difference between samsung recovery solution and windows restore? Which one should I use?

Any help is appreciated.

Recovery solition is where you go to create your system recovery cds and where you can restore the computer to its factory store, which would be how it was when it came out of the box.

Windows system restore would be used for going back a couple of days, due to software error. Do not however use it if you are infected, system restore should be turned off until infection has been removed.

You can try to recover data from reformatted disk with Easy Drive Data Recover software:

http://www.munsoft.com/EasyDriveDataRecovery/

It uses unique modern algorithms to recover files that other software either recovers incorrectly or is unable to detect.
