My operating system is` Windows XP Media Edition`: somtime ago I backed up my files onto a disc, but can`t remmember how to restore the data back on to PC, help appreciated.

run the disk, when the autoplay window appears, wait for it to load > click open folder > drag and drop or copy and paste your files to your favourite location, for example if its a picture folder, click on start menu, drag the folder onto of Pictures

  2. Depends on what method you used:
A simple ‘drag & drop’ copy from hard drives to a media (CD, DVD, etc) can just be reverse drag-n-dropped back to the drives and would require manual placement into folders.
If you used a data backup application, you’ll have to restart the app.; and tell it to restore your data, then (in some cases) put the CD/DVD’s back in when prompted. This way puts the files back where they originated automatically.

  3. run the cd and copy paste the data

Please note: once u copied to pc it become read only file. so right click the file go to properties and removerread onlyy option to access the file
