Am I able to use my password recovery disk for my pc on my friends pc bcuz he forgot his password?

Ok I have a password recovery disk for my windows vista pc. He has a vista pc but he lost his password. I was wondering if i could lend him my disk and let him access his computer. Idk what to tell him can someone help me.

You need to remove the password not reformat the drive. Samurai password removal tool works well. Remember to backup the hive just in case.

  1. No, that will not work.

    Your password recovery disk has the information for your user accounts.

    If he did not make one, then the only way to get back in is to remember the password, or reinstall Windows, which will delete all of his files.
