how to do a file recovery on windows vista?

he got a virus and he cant open his computer anymore. what should he do
never mind this ^
he can get on his computer but internet wont even work and most of the files wont even work either or if they work they’re like super slow
he got a virus
he wants to know how to reset his computer to send it back in like recovery mode.
Assuming he knows how to use his Anti-Malware Tools, and, the Virus is still there:
Read the PC’s User Manual to learn how to BURN the Windows Recovery disks.
And, how to return his PC to "Factory New" condition.

The first thing to try is System Restore:
http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-vista/What-is-System-Restore
Make sure to use a date prior to when the problem started.
After that, if there are still problems, he can download a program called HijackThis and post the log on a website like Daniweb.com, castlecops.com, or something like that. DO NOT use this program without assistance from someone that knows how to use it!
