what will happen if i delete a media id file from recovery D?

February 172010

System says I am running out of space in recovery D. Its almost completely in the red!

Just leave it as is. Don’t remove anything from that recovery partition. You shouldn’t even be storing anything to it. Your computer depends on it.

You should only delete it if you have already created a bootable DVD or USB flash drive and copied the recovery files to it. Otherwise, you will have to buy a copy from your dealer once you need to restore your operating system.

You may not be able to create recovery disks or recover Windows in the future.

Do not delete files from it. Do not add files to it.
