If you are using the same console, everything will work as before on the new hard drive. However, if you are using the hard drive on a new console, you will have to do a license transfer to that new console. The steps for completing a license transfer can be found here: http://www.xbox.com/en-US/support/systemuse/xbox360/licensemigration/ Keep in mind that if you do need to do a license transfer, you won't be able to do another one for 12 months.
