    i ing hate maxtor i had like £3000 worth of programs on it and i lost them all cos of maxtor!!!!! i gonna put a video up to show u my problem if some1 can help me i would be greatfull.

    maxtors always run hot! I remeber in college id always grab a maxtor to work on because when i gave it back at the end of the day kev my teacher would take it and go woah uv been workin hard!!! =D

  9. I have a 40 Gig …
    I have a 40 Gig maxtor drive since 2002 and it runs very hot (about 57c) but miraculously it’s still alive. And I kept that drive powered on every day for at least 12 hours. I guess I was lucky because I hear a lot of complains about maxtor.

    yeah im all WD now. Even seagate which used to be good has lost my trust even though my 1TB drive is a seagate
    Their 1.5 tb drives and 500 gig firmware disasters i think they are going to lose a lot of customers. I am sticking with WD.
