i need Some Data Recovery software to restore files from my ext hdd but im unsure what is the best one to use any suggestions ???
Asoftech recovery ( http://www.asoftech.com/apr/ ) is about the best program there is for file recovery.
Using any other program is like owning a Mercedes and crawling on your knees. The difference between Asoftech photo recovery and the next best program is like the difference between a computer and a broken abacus. (I’d pay $1,000 for it if I had to – it has saved me more than that.)

Hello,
I have accidentely deleted many files and would like to get them back so i have done some research and found a list of reputable recovery software:
FREE:
*UnDelete Plus
*PC Inspector File Recovery
*Restoration
*Recuva
*Uneraser
*Asoftech
*Minitool
Should i just download all of them today or should i only download one at a time and then erase it if it doesn’t work (to free up space and have less chance of the deleted files being used up)?
Thank you
You may try one software at one time, if can find your files, then you do not need to install other software.
For me, I use Asoftech, it never failed me.

Ok I have a 2gb sd card that was formatted using the quick format with windows. I had things are there that I can’t get back such as pictures and videos of my daughter when she was younger. I have tried numerous data recovery software and none of them seem to detect anything. I need help!
Howdy Chris,
Yeah you are right all the recovery tools ask for the money $.
I too have gone through this kind of prob various times den i come to knw abt a application named "Advanced Disk Recovery" that helps me to recover the data deleted either intentionally or accidentally.
It recovers data very efficiently if not overwritten. u can connect ur sd card to the computer and can recover the data with the help of this tool.
Though in free version it only recovers the 5 files but atleast u can get 5 of ur important files back
I am using the paid version and it is wrkn fine 4 me
so if u wanna give it a try then u can download this from cnet

Hi
I’m intended to buy a data recovery software which I can use on any computer when in need but I’m not sure which software is good and I can use it on any computer I want.
Most importantly the software must be able to retrieve data from formatted PC, not those files deleted by recycle bin. It would be best if it include others as well.
Any suggestion?
Now days so many data recovery companies provides data recovery software. You should compare the rate and choose a best one according to your requirements. You can check the a good data recovery software at: http://www.hdrconline.com/hdrc_services.php

I have a mini sd chip that I use in my phone and has mysteriously become corrupted and says I need to format it. Now, to get the information, I have downloaded the Icare software, which is a recovery software, how do I know what the drive is for it? And is there something better I could to to recover it? Any information is greatly appreciated.
When you connect your sd chip to computer, you will see it shown as a drive letter in ‘My Computer’. That’s the drive letter.
For recovery software, a popular one is asoftech photo recovery, people used to use it to recover pictures, song, videos, documents, and other deleted files. You can get it from

disks from a newer model HP laptop? Or will I need to order disks from HP? Please help…
Will the recovery disks include everythiung OEM software? Like operating system and all factory installed programs?
If you mean that you need to install a new hard drive and use your current OS recovery disks, then yes, that will work.
As long as the OS is the same (Windows XP, XP Pro, Vista, etc.) as what you had originally installed, and you have the key (found on the Microsoft Windows tag on your pc), you can use any disks from any pc. The key (literally) is to have the code that is on your pc.
You will need the driver disk from your pc to get all of your hardware running.
So, any CD that has the same version of your OS will work, but you will need the driver CD from your specific machine.

Half of my laptop (Sony Vaio NW) harddrive is full, i want to completely format the hard drive and, basically, start over. However i was wondering 3 things.
1. if i make recovery disks, will i be able to format the harddrive, put the recovery disks i made in, and boot the computer, then reinstall the Windows Vista?
2. I used an upgrade disk to Windows 7 on the laptop, will the recovery disks make a recovery of the upgrade to 7 or the original vista on the laptop?
3. will i be able to use my windows 7 upgrade after i have recovered the disk onto the laptop?
1. Yes
2. recovery will recover whatever is on the disk. Since your computer comes with vista and you upgraded to windows 7 yourself, it will reinstall vista.
3. Yes i think you can, since it’s an independent upgrade

Ok what if i dont see anything under logical drives?
you may use other file recovery tool to get them back. A popular one is Asoftech Photo Recovery Pro. This tool can deep scan your computer and recover your lost files back without requiring extra skills. Here is the steps might be helpful to you:
1. Download the free trial version of this program on your compute. here is the link: http://www.asoftech.com/apr/
2. Install and start the program, select the drive where your lost files located, click Next. Now the scanning process will start to search the deleted files. After a while you will then get a list of recoverable files.
3. Preview these files to see if your lost ones are there and then perform full recovery.
