What happens when the recovery drive is almost full?

I purchased my Compaq laptop a few months ago. I haven’t saved hardly anything to it. So why is the recovery drive almost full and what happens if it becomes full.

Because the recovery drive d: is normally a Virtual drive and not a physical drive d: and nothing should ever be placed in that drive if you expect the computer to be able to do a Factory Default Recovery, back to the way the computer came from the manufacturer. You should check your menus for a program to make a set of Recovery CDs and make them before you run into problems and have no way to recover from it. Everyone should do that with a newer computer, especially if you did not get any CDs with the computer.

  1. Absolutely nothing. It’s supposed to be almost full all the time. It’s only large enough to hold the recovery information and that’s it.
